In 2018 I joined the Bali Hope Ultra Team to run 84km across the Island of Bali, through the night on a Coast to Coast Journey of Community, Compassion & Discovery.
Together, we raised enough money to create 100 scholarships which were gifted to 100 Children in need.
At the end of the event 6 of us got Tattoos to give us a reminder of what we all achieved over the 7 days that we spent together as a team.
This year I have re-joined the Team, this time to change lives in the rural village of Pedawa, Bali.
A beautiful but deeply poor village in the North of Bali more than 30% of the community lives below the poverty line.
Many people in this community live in the most basic of housing. They can’t afford school fees, and many families need the children to work in their farms or they just simply live too remotely.
For these reasons the school dropout rate at a young age is exceptionally high.
Because of this, the cycle of poverty is never broken.
Thanks to Bali Hope, that’s all about to change.
Support us as we strive to make a lasting difference to the lives of the Children of Pedawa.
