Pedawa, Bali, is a beautiful but deeply poor village in the North of Bali where more than 30% of the community live below the poverty line. Many of the community live in the most basic of housing. They can’t afford school fees, they may need the children to work in their farms or they simply live too remotely. For these reasons the school drop out rate at a young age is exceptionally high. Which means the cycle of poverty is never broken.
