Education is something we take for granted in the western world.
Growing up in Australia where education is compulsory from the age of 6 meant that, whether some of us remember our days in the old schoolyard as the happiest days of our lives or whether we were glad to escape from school into the adult world, we were all fortunate enough to have the opportunity.
In May 2019 we've been given the chance to run 84km across Bali with 25 other amazing humans from all corners of the globe.
We're doing this, not only because we love running, but also for a cause we're all incredibly passionate about; children's education and raising vital funds for the Bali Children Foundation (www.balichildrenfoundation.org).
The money raised will provide the same educational pathway opportunities for disadvantaged Balinese children - a journey leading to long-term sustainable growth and development - and will help transform the community of Pedawa Bali, helping to put 200 children through 6 years of primary school.
Yes, it's going to be hot, it's going to be tough and it's probably going to hurt but we'll be keeping these inspirational kids in mind with every step!
The more people that know about Bali Children Foundation, the greater their impact, so if you can spread the word by sharing our page with your friends that would be awesome!
Thanks in advance for your generosity, David (DJ) Jones & Jase Cronshaw (V&B Athletic)
